Don’t miss out on the only 5K race in Asheville that ends with a Falafel sandwich. Run with us on Sunday, April 30 at 10 am at the Asheville Jewish Community Center at 236 Charlotte Street! A local favorite, the Falafel 5K was voted one of WNC’s BEST road races in the 2015 Mountain Xpress “Best of WNC” poll.
The Falafel 5K is in honor of Israeli Independence Day and is hosted in conjunction with Cafe Israel, a Congregation Beth Israel event held on the same day, April 30, at nearby Congregation Beth Israel, 229 Murdock Avenue. Following the Falafel 5K, don’t miss Beth Israel’s celebration of Israeli culture where you can experience savory Israeli dishes; wine tasting & Hi-Wire beer; live music & folk dancing; inflatables & children’s activities; silent & live auctions, and more. Redeem your FREE Falafel coupon at Cafe Israel beginning at 11 am.
All registered participants for the 5K will receive a race shirt (unless the t-shirt free option is chosen).
NEW this year: in 2017, you can sign up for the Falafel 5K and the Hanukkah 8K as part of a race series and pay for your registration for both events at the same time!
The Falafel 5K is part of The Asheville Track Club Grand Prix Racing Series
