Camp
Ruach (that means “spirit”) welcomes all rising 1st through 8th graders
for a traditional day camp experience focused on cultivating lifelong
friendships and good old-fashioned fun. Each two-week session weaves
important Jewish values into camp programming— teaching campers the
benefits of caring, teamwork, environmental stewardship, and good deeds
through a variety of special events, field trips, and other exciting
hands-on learning opportunities.
Throughout
the summer, campers also enjoy a host of activities with their buddies,
including sports, cooking, crafts, nature and gardening, free swim plus
regularly scheduled lessons from WSI-certified instructors, Israeli
dance, music, overnights featuring poolside s’mores and sing-alongs,
and more—all the while developing self-confidence, forming lasting
memories, and experiencing the bliss of being a kid in the summertime.
We’re a 5-star camp! That’s North Carolina’s highest rating for children’s programs.

kehila (community) june 21st - july 2nd
Dive into summer with your Camp Ruach community of friends! In the Kehila session, children are immersed in our fun and supportive community of campers, counselors, and CITs, forming friendships and summer memories that will last a lifetime. Kehila is full of exciting field trips, team-building experiences, overnights, and group activities designed to build confidence and a sense of belonging. In addition to all the fun and games, each group will also get the chance to share their "ruach" with the greater community through a camper-directed activity. Kehila closes with our legendary "Maccabiah Games"-a rousing day full of friendly team competition and cheer.

mayim chayim (living water) july 6th - july 16th*
What would
summertime be without the refreshing thrill of water? In this session,
we'll float down the French Broad River, enjoy guided exploration of
other local watering holes, have a blast competing in the "Wacky Water
Olympics," and spend a day at the water park-our most anticipated trip
of the summer! The session culminates in our annual Seth Olson "You Can
Make a Difference Day" on July 16th, giving campers a chance to help
change the world. *Camp Ruach will be closed on July 5th in honor of
Independence Day.

august 2nd - august 13th
Calling
all actors, singers, dancers, set designers, and stagehands! No matter
what your talents, you'll have an important role as we work together to
create a Broadway-worthy production. On the marquee this summer are
selections from the ever-popular "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat." Family and friends will love seeing the big show! During
this session, we'll also learn a variety of dance styles with our dance
specialist and enjoy visits from some incredible local artists and

mini-camp
august 16th - august 20th
Before you
start thinking about school, spend one last week with your friends at
Camp Ruach. Mini-camp is a relaxing, low-key week to unwind at the end
of a busy summer. Your favorite counselors and activity specialists
will still be here, and there will be plenty of swimming in the JCC
pool. We'll say goodbye to Camp Ruach together at our last day of camp
party on Friday.
