Camp Ruach is an eight week summer day camp serving children in grades 1-8. Our staff is the heart of our program and we're looking for enthusiastic and mature individuals who are fun, love children, and have special talents to share. Counselors and Junior Counselors are asked to make a nine week commitment (June 2 - August 1). All staff will participate in 40 hours of on-site training, including team building, first aid, supervision, and health and safety. Counselors must be high school graduates. Rising 11th and 12th graders are welcome to apply for Junior Counselor positions.
Counselors-in-Training (CITs)
Rising 9th and 10th graders are welcome to apply for a position in our Counselor In Training program. CITs will receive training, and will be assigned to work with a camp or preschool group for which they will be paid a daily stipend. Weekly meetings will provide opportunities to build friendships with other CITs while we discuss group dynamics and age-appropriate activities for younger children. CITs are asked to make a 4-week or 8-week commitment and ar expected to participate daily from 9am - 2pm. Participation during pre-camp training week is also expected.
