OJA Teen Connect is where Asheville’s Jewish teens come together to meet, hang out, discuss, laugh, share, and stay involved.  Managed and supported by the greater Asheville Jewish Community, Teen Connect is open to all Jewish teens and pre-teens, 6th to 12 grade.  It consists of two great programs with one important goal: To make Jewish connections that last a lifetime.

Teen Connect is open to any Jewish middle or high school student in the Asheville area. You don’t have to be affiliated with any organization; you simply have to want to connect! To enroll your child or to get more information, contact Programming Director, Seth Kellam, seth@onejewishasheville.org or call 828-253-0701 ext 107.

Gesher (Middle School): Gesher is a fun and engaging program that meets twice a month, keeping middle school kids connected Jewishly during a critical time in their lives. Advisor-led activities include sports and games, field trips, movies, pool parties, social action projects, Jewish learning programs and more.  While a few of the activities have a small fee to cover cost ($), there is no cost to join.

BBYO (High School):  Through Kol Harim, Asheville’s co-ed BBYO chapter, students build lifelong Jewish connections while learning leadership skills, and having fun. BBYO meets at least twice a month for camping, segway tours, social action projects, experiential Jewish learning, parties and more. In addition, state and regional BBYO conventions enable students to meet other Jewish kids from across the south.
