The Asheville JCC is a fun and exciting place for kids!
Our
Just Kids After School program has received the state of North
Carolina's highest rating of five stars for providing an excellent
after school environment. We also offer full day programming on days
when the Asheville City Schools are closed - including snow days. Our
full days often feature field trips to local attractions.
Camp
Ruach, Summer Day Camp, offers four themed sessions each summer with an
emphasis on FRIENDSHIP, SUMMER FUN, and GETTING OUTSIDE.
Jewish Programming
School
age children are invited to participate in our Just Kids' Shabbat
celebration each Friday afternoon and in our Havdalah celebration each
Monday afternoon during the regular school year. We also offer numerous
Judaic cultural and holiday activities throughout the year that are
open to children enrolled in the Just Kids program and to the greater
community. These activities are a source of great joy and pride in our
Jewish heritage, and we hope that exploring these traditions will help
our children to understand their importance in and responsibility to
our community and the world.
