We are postponing the JCC Hanukkah 8K until Sunday December 16th at 9:15 am. Registration will remain open until Wed 12/12, so anyone not registered can still sign up! Packet pick up will be held on Friday 12/14 from 4-6 pm and on race day from 8-9 am. Stay warm, stay safe and we’ll see you all on the 16th!
Please join us for the Asheville Jewish Community Center’s 3rd annual JCC Hanukkah 8K! The race begins at 9:15 am on December 9 at the Asheville JCC, 236 Charlotte Street. Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to participate.
The event is a community-wide celebration of the upcoming 8 day Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights. Proceeds of the JCC Hanukkah 8K will benefit Shalom Children’s Center.
Race day registration is 8-9 A.M. on Sunday morning, December 16, at the Jewish Community Center and is cash or credit card only. No checks will be accepted for payment that morning.
In conjunction with the Hanukkah 8K, there will be a FREE kids’ race starting at 8:30 am where kids will be challenged to run 8 laps around the JCC parking lot. Those kids that raise $25 or more in pledges will receive a t-shirt. You can sponsor a child in the Latke Loop HERE. Please check the box “dedicate donation” and indicate In Honor Of (Child’s Name) and highlight Hanukkah 8K and Latke Loop as the campaign.
