Don’t miss out on the Asheville JCC’s virtual Falafel 5K happening Sunday, April 26. Participating in the virtual Falafel 5K will help you stay connected to other runners in Asheville, motivate you to get out into the beautiful spring weather to stay healthy and active, allow you to choose your own course and start time, and still participate in a competitive race complete with prizes for winners! Participants in the Asheville JCC’s Virtual 5K will run a 5-K course of their choosing on Sunday, April 26. They will log their time via a log button on the JCC website, and submit photographic proof of running. Winners will be announced on April 27, when all times have been received. Prizes will be mailed to winners following the race. Proceeds from the Asheville JCC Virtual Falafel 5K support Shalom Children’s Center’s tuition scholarship fund.
A “no-contact” packet pick-up will take place at the JCC on 236 Charlotte Street from 4-6 PM on Thursday, April 23 and from 4-6 PM on Friday, April 24. Virtual Falafel 5K participants are encouraged to drive through the JCC parking lot where a masked, gloved JCC employee will be waiting to bring race bags to your car. All participants with a last name beginning with the letters A-M should come to the no-contact packet pick up on Thursday, April 23, and those with a last name beginning with the letters M-Z should come to the packet pick up on Friday, April 24. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions about packet pick up.
