Volunteer Opportunities

Challah Club Delivery
This team of drivers delivers challah door-to-door to challah club members who have signed up to receive no-contact delivery. All homes in the club are within a 20-mile radius of the Asheville JCC. This mitzvah supports our most vulnerable community members while bringing them the joy of Shabbat right to their doorstep.

Welcome Shabbat
This outreach to elders provides juice, blessings, music, and challah – you provide the smiles and ruach (spirit in Hebrew). Various locations, 1^st and 2^nd Fridays of the month.

JCC Fundraising Events
Volunteers are needed for event planning and to work before, during and after events.

Boards and Committees
If you have experience in marketing, finance, governance, or fundraising, you might be interested in serving on a board or a committee, where our dedicated community leaders work behind the scenes to help grow the JCC.

Around the JCC
Volunteers are needed to do office work, shopping, facilities improvements, closet cleaning and organizing, cooking, gardening and landscaping, and other general work at the JCC. Currently only outdoor volunteer opportunities are available.
