JCC Kids (K-5)
In the JCC Kids After-School program, children of all traditions build community and develop values rooted in Jewish culture. This 5-star program serves children in kindergarten through 5th grade.

JCC Kids After-School
Each afternoon at JCC Kids includes a snack, physical activity (outside as much as possible!), and enrichment including crafts, games, STEAM activities, Shabbat, and Jewish traditions.
JCC Kids staff create a “walking school bus” for Claxton and Jones students from Claxton Elementary to the JCC upon school dismissal (including early dismissals). Students attending other ACS and BCS schools must organize their own transportation to the JCC, either through the school or parent carpool.
*New this year!* Two enrollment options: full time (up to 5 days per week) and part time (up to 3 days per week)
JCC Kids After School Program 2025-2026 will start Monday August 25, 2025. Operating hours are from the time school dismisses until 5:30pm.
JCC Kids students may attend “Full Days” (8:30am-5:30pm) on most scheduled Asheville City Schools teacher work days and inclement weather days. Full days are available only to monthly JCC Kids after-school participants and are included in the price.
Click here for the full calendar of JCC holiday closures, JCC Kids extended- and full-days during school early releases and closures, and winter/spring break camps. Dates are subject to change if Asheville City Schools change their school year calendar.
JCC Kids tuition for the 2025/26 school year:
- Full-time (attending up to 5 days per week): $462 per month
- Part-time (attending up to 3 days per week): $350 per month

JCC Kids accepts NC Child Care Subsidies (vouchers). Additionally, need-based scholarships are available through the Esther and Hyman Burstein Scholarship.
