Come Play at the J: JCC Kids Afterschool
JCC Kids offers a safe, fun environment that includes homework help and structured games that enhance intellectual development. Children are encouraged to share with our community of friends, and to help plan activities based on their own interests. No Jewish gathering is complete without food! At JCC Kids, we make sure your child is well-fed every day with a healthy snack, including fruits, vegetables and whole grains. We also understand kids need to blow off steam after school every day, so we make sure there’s plenty of time for physical activity, including group physical fitness activities and free play outdoors.
Perhaps what makes JCC Kids most unique is our focus on values – Kehila (community), Tikkun Olam (repair of the world), Tzedeka (justice), and Gemilut Chasadim (acts of loving kindness). We believe that a strong community shares these important values, and we offer many opportunities for children to express them through action.
Daily group time, when children check in with each other and their group leader, helps build trusting relationships and strong friendships. Bi-weekly musical Shabbat and Havdalah, and Jewish holiday celebrations throughout the year, offer time for joyous reflection and foster a sense of belonging in the JCC community.
