Israel Programming
The goal of our Israel programs is to create a community culture that acknowledges and embraces the understanding that Israel is a complex country with a dynamic culture. Programming aims to foster dialogue that promotes greater personal connections to Israel. With these personal connections comes a greater appreciation of the nation’s complexities and a deeper interest in the country’s history and people.
Ongoing Israel programming includes annual speakers, cooking classes, and visiting Schlihim. As our Israeli programs evolve and grow, we hope to implement additional educational opportunities including Israeli folk dancing, trips to Israel, and activities designed to introduce children in our early childhood programs to Israeli culture. Examples of child-focused programs include the Israeli Shuk as part of our Purim celebration and the use of Hebrew words and phrases when appropriate.
