The Asheville JCC accepts applications and provides need-based scholarships to children at Shalom Children’s Center, AJCC Swim Team, JCC Kids Afterschool, and Camp Ruach.
The Asheville JCC accepts applications and provides need-based scholarships to children at Shalom Children’s Center, AJCC Swim Team, JCC Kids Afterschool, and Camp Ruach. The JCC provides approximately $20,000 annually in scholarships that serve an average of 15 children per year. Scholarships can be paired with child care vouchers.
Asking for financial aid can be uncomfortable, so we offer a confidential application process that is as easy and equitable as possible. If you would like to learn more or apply for a scholarship, please email Caroline@jcc-asheville.org or apply here.
Application Deadlines:
- Shalom, JCC Kids after-school, and year-round swim team scholarship applications due July 15 for the 2025/26 school year
- Camp Ruach and Tikvah and summer swim team scholarship applications due by March 1 annually
In 2023, the JCC’s scholarship program was named The Esther and Hyman Burstein Scholarship in honor of a generous endowment gift by Esther Burstein on behalf of her late husband and herself. Through the generosity of Mrs. Burstein, additional JCC donors, and fundraising, the Asheville JCC is pleased to sustain our scholarship program and continue providing future scholarships to JCC families in need.
