2026 Smokin’ Salmon Swim Team Registration

Proficient stroke development, endurance swimming, diving, turns, swim protocol and etiquette along with pursuing life full-filling opportunities in the sport of swimming are additional key components to our teams endeavors and successes.  Team placement is determined by a collaborative assessment involving coaches, parents, and swimmers. Novice – Age Range 7-11

In our Novice Group, we focus on teaching the fundamentals of the four competitive strokes through skill development and the introduction of basic stroke techniques. Swimmers build their “feel for the water” while learning proper body position, balance, and hip placement. We emphasize strong kicking as a foundation for support and movement. Practices also include racing, relays, and games to keep learning engaging.

Age Group – Age 9-14

In our Age Group training group, we continue to focus on fundamental techniques and racing skills, along with the introduction of interval training (use of clock) and aerobic development. We also provide advanced racing strategies for longer and more challenging events. Practice sessions are extended in duration and occur more frequently to support enhanced physiological adaptations in both muscular and aerobic endurance.

Senior – Age 13 & older

The Senior Group is designed to support athletes as they transition from age group to senior-level swimming. This phase emphasizes both adaptation and progression, helping swimmers adjust to the increased demands of advanced training and competition.

From preparing for high school competition to competing at the national club level, athletes in this group pursue a wide range of goals. Training is structured to meet these varied objectives while the overall focus still remains on long-term development.

Increased training levels are the cornerstone of senior swimming. Athletes are pushed to new levels of training in-water and on-land.

26-27 Recreation League

Our recreation swim league offers a fun and beginner-friendly environment for your child to gain experience and develop fundamental skills in the sport of swimming.
