Swim and Dive Lessons
Swim lessons will help your child (or you) develop overall fitness, strength, coordination, knowledge and understanding of water safety, as well as confidence in and around water. Swim lessons are tailored to fit each individual swimmer’s needs and focus on skills such as treading water, blowing bubbles, and stroke technique.
JCC swim lessons are high in demand, and we currently have a wait list for all group and private instruction. We unfortunately cannot quote when a space will become available. Follow the link below to add you or your child to our wait list. When an available opportunity opens up, a member of the Aquatics staff will be in touch.

Parent/Child
Cost is determined by the number of weeks in a session. Total will be quoted upon enrollment.
A child must be 6 months of age with good head control to begin the Parent/Child class. New swimmers learn to become comfortable in the water through safety skills, games and songs. A iPlay diaper is required and can be purchased at the Aquatics Center’s front desk. This is a group class with five or more parent/child pairs.

Wee Swim
Cost is determined by the number of weeks in a session. Total will be quoted upon enrollment.
Beginner swimmers and/or those who are uncomfortable in the water will learn safety awareness, bubble blowing, and putting the swimmer’s face in the water. This is a group class with three to five students.

Developmental Stroke
Cost is determined by the number of weeks in a session. Total will be quoted upon enrollment.
This course focuses on fine tuning the freestyle stroke, rotary breathing, and back stroke. Swimmers will advance to learning breast stroke, butterfly, and more advanced diving skills. This is a great prep class if your child is interested in joining swim team. This is a group class with three to 14 students (number dependent on water availability).

Learn to Dive
Cost is determined by the number of weeks in a session. Total will be quoted upon enrollment.
Learn to Dive is a fun and developmental class for ages 5-7 to introduce the fundamental skills of springboard diving. Springboard diving is a unique sport where divers seek to achieve an almost vertical entry into the water. Class focuses on developing a powerful forward and backward jump, moving to different body positions in the air, and safely entering the water feet first or hands first while maintaining proper body alignment. Skills are taught in incremental progressions(mostly pool deck level) via games, challenges, and goals to achieve this development. Participants are required to be strong independent swimmers that can swim 25 yards unassisted.

Private
Five 30-minute lessons for students of any age
$140 for JCC members, $165 for general community
Private swim lessons are designed to meet each individual swimmer’s needs. Schedules are based on teacher, student, and water space availability. Private lesson availability at this time is VERY limited due to the volume of demand and the number of instructors available.
