Colorful Pages- Cancelled

Join the JCC, The Colorful Pages Coalition, and Odyssey School for a literacy workshop where we’ll explore representation in children’s literature, centering student experience, early race awareness and racial identity development through an equity lens.

The Colorful Pages Coalition is  a new initiative that aims to change and enhance  WNC classroom libraries to be more reflective of ALL children. Colorful Pages wants our Black, Brown, Asian, and Indigenous children to see themselves positively reflected in the books and stories they read every day at school.

After the workshop, Firestorm books will be on site selling children’s books that reflect the Colorful Pages Coalition mission. A percentage of book sales will benefit Colorful Pages.
