Q: When will the JCC open again?
A: At this time, we don’t know. We are monitoring public health recommendations/orders each day, and also communicating with our staff about their health and safety. It is possible that some programs may be able to open before others. We will be transparent and communicative throughout our closure, and we very much look forward to opening as soon as it is safe to do so.
Q: Is the pool still open?
A: The JCC Aquatics Center and David Zimerman Pool will be closed until further notice. The full closure is in compliance with Buncombe County’s March 19 mandate closing certain businesses including indoor pools and fitness centers (https://www.buncombecounty.org/countycenter/news-detail.aspx?id=18565)
Q: Will the JCC offer programs and classes online?
A: Yes! We are working hard to offer both “at home” and “virtual” programming. In particular, we are compiling a variety of links to engaging content, including arts & culture, family programs, and Judaics on our website. As a member of the Jewish Community Center Association of North America, we have access to programs developed at JCC’s around the U.S. and Canada, and you’ll see these programs on our website, as well.
Q: Is the JCC offering tuition reimbursements or deferrals of fees/tuition?
A: For information about tuition and fees, click here.
